Supervision for Mental Health Professionals

AttachmentCPDC’s co-directors offer Professional Consultation and Supervision  services for mental health professionals who are seeking support for self-initiated personal and professional development. The Weinholds recognize that professional supervision not only supports mental health practitioners’ personal and professional development but seem them as interrelated. Supervision, they believe, is essential to the effective practice of working as an attuned counselor. CPDC’s supervision and consultation services are, therefore, designed to increase competencies, and promote professional accountability.

The Weinholds provide traditional supervision services, serving as mentors, advocates, supervisors, consultants and teachers to both individuals working towards mental health licensure, and to those already practicing professionally. Their supervision provides counselors with an environment designed to support personal and professional growth. The Weinholds’ developmental approach emphasizes practices that increase self-reflection, self-correction, self-directedness, self-authorizing and self-authoring in order to expand the range of their supervisee’s professional competencies.

Weinholds’ Professional Supervision/Consultation services are available in individual and group formats. Participants are invited to present cases, personal and/or professional issues for review and discussion. These supervision sessions are available for LPC Candidates who are working towards licensure.
