CPDC’s co-directors offer Professional Consultation and Supervision services for healthcare professionals seeking support for implementing Trauma Informed Care practices and principles within their practices or organizations.
Supervision
The Weinholds recognize that professional supervision not only supports healthcare practitioners’ personal and professional development, but seem them as essential for integration. Supervision, they believe, is essential to the effective practice of working as a heart-centered practitioner. CPDC’s supervision and consultation services are, therefore, designed to increase competencies, and promote professional growth and accountability.
The Weinholds provide individual supervision services, serving as mentors, advocates, supervisors, consultants and teachers to those working towards mental health licensure, and to those already practicing professionally. This form of supervision provides counselors with an environment designed to support both personal and professional growth. The Weinholds’ developmental approach increases supervisees’ self-reflection, self-correction, self-directedness, self-authorizing, and self-authoring in order to expand the range of their professional competencies.
Weinholds’ Professional Supervision/Consultation services are available in individual and group formats. Participants are invited to present cases, personal and/or professional issues for review and discussion. These supervision sessions are available for LPC Candidates who are working towards licensure.
Implementation Support
The Weinholds provide individual supervision services for graduates of their Trauma-Informed Care Certificate Training who are implementing TIC principles and practices into their agency or organization. They recognize that implementation involves a change in the organizational structure and will naturally present challenges for which graduates need support. This supervision, which is more focused on organizational change, helps graduates apply the TIC Guidelines into their workplace, identify real or anticipated obstacles in the implementation process, and also effectively apply the TIC strategies within their agency or organization.
